A little progress

We finally had a nice sunny day so they could get some more work done.
Had some deliveries and the peering is done. Hopefully it wont be much longer and we will have a slab.
The guys are messy, there's abit of rubbish laying around. Even afew largies...

It's finally started

Went to the block to see if they has started anything.
And this happened.

It has been dug down and raised more then we thought it would be, so we are definitely going to need retaining walls on both sides of the house 

Good news finally

Got an email from Irene my new CSO that construction should start towards the end of next week... Hopefully this does actually happen.
Also got a phone call yesterday that i got offered a traineeship in the mines driving dump trucks. It has been a good week for me. :)

Letter to commence

Finally we have our letter to commence. It has almost been a month siince we signed the building contracts. Im just glad we got it before they close for christmas.

Contracts are signed!

Today we signed the building contracts. It took about 40 minutes, we only changed two things so there wasnt much to check. Hopefully we will have something happen before they close for christmas, but it doubt it will.

We have finally got a date to sign Contracts

After a 30 minute conversation with 2 ladies at Allworth I now have a date to sign our building contracts, November 11th. Hopefully we will have a slab down before they close for Christmas.
We have to pay 2 price increases which I am not very happy about because they stuffed us around for so long. But it wasn't completely their fault I guess.

15th March - Paid deposit for house plans
24th April - Received house plans
18th May - Colour Selection
20th May - Plans went to council
22nd May - Septic plans went to council
26th August - House plans finally got approved at council
16th October - Septic system finally approved
19th November - Signed building contracts
15th December - Received letter to commence
23rd December - Signed final plans and Price
29th December - Received a 25 day extension for the Christmas shutdown.
23rd January - Cut & fill started
24th January - Slab framing started
27th January - Toilet Delivered and fences put up
30th January - Peering done and waffle pods, rio and gravel delivered
