Hopefully we get the keys

We have arranged to meet Wayne at the house on Friday at 11:30. To hopefully pick up the keys. The bank isnt sure if the final payment will be done for us to get the keys friday. I am keeping my fingers crossed it gets done.
The main floor tiles will be finished today. The carpets mirrors and shower screens go in today. Also the septic pipework goes in today. I will be glad when thats finished. Its been nothing but drama with the septic stuff.

Handover date :)

We have been given a handover date of june 12th. Just under 3 weeks away.  The only thing that needs to be booked in is the carpet.  Hopefully my ss hears back from the carpet people in the next few days.  Painters start today and should be finished monday.

Septic tanks are in

Yesterday the septic tanks were put in. If anyone has any ideas on how to try and hide the tanks that would be great. We cant build anything on top of them. Was abit worried the truck wouldn't fit down the side of the house but it made it fine. We also started on the retaining wall. We have a bobcat booked for the weekend so we can level the yard out. The painters will start friday or monday.

Kitchen & Tiles

On Friday 8th the kitchen was installed. I spoke to Wayne today and he told me one of the cabinets got delivered but not installed because it was stolen. I didn't notice because I didn't realise there was one going in above the exhaust fan. I had to look at the plans. The tiler did the screed on Saturday and starting tiling on Monday. He will be finished laying the tiles today and will do the grout tomorrow. I asked for a rough completion date and I was told mid June. So it only about a week behind the 17 weeks. Time for some photos.

Don't know if i like this yet, It just looks abit out of place

The boys bath with the white tiles, I wanted them the same as the floor but the lady at the tile shop didn't write it down. We will keep it white though.

We are official locked out

Went to the house to find we have been locked out. They had everything locked so we couldn't have a look inside. The bath has been delivered, the house has now got power.

The kitchen should be done on Wednesday. I will be asking for a walk through next week to have a good look.

Wayne said there's about 6 - 7 weeks of work left because of the delays with the weather, and because we are getting them to do the carpet and tiles it takes a little longer. He is going to hopefully ring me tonight to give me a better idea of the finishing date.

Gyproc

There was 2 guys there monday working away. They didnt leave till after 5. The got basically all the house done. Just afew small bits to do. I think they also ran out of gyproc. I couldnt see any left over. They were there again on tuesday. I called in around lunch time to chat to them quickly. They are from the central coast, i told them they better try head home with all the road closures. Hopefully they made it home.

I will go over later today to see if they have returned. I couldnt get photos, it was dark when i had a look.

Not much progress

Since easter not much has happened. They have installed the down pipes, there has been a site clean. Then nothing happened for over a week. I called wayne on wednesday to find out whats going on. There has been a delay with the gyproc guys. They had  two 2 story house to do on the central coast.
I went to the house yesterday to sort out stuff for the fence, and i notice the electrician had been back and all the gyproc has been delivered ready for them to start it on monday.  I should get a better idea of when my house will be finished when the gyproc is completed.
